The 8th edition of Echoes in the Valley is all set to kick off on March 22 and 23 at Hanuman Dhoka Museum and Itum Bahal respectively.

In the two-day-long music festival, artists from India, Mauritius, Spain, Ukraine, and the US will perform. Some artists to perform in EITV are Dab Dab Dapha, Dahna and the Rajamati Choir, Himalayan Highway, Sonagi Blues, and Sur Sudha.

According to the organisers, the event will bring together about 150 artists, two workshops, two engaging exhibitions, guided heritage walks, and a cluster of stalls offering family and kids activities, local cuisines, and homegrown products.

This edition will also feature a conference highlighting the significance of music as an intangible cultural heritage.

On the first day, the instrumental band Sur Sudha will showcase a performance. There will be performances by the Mithileshwar Jhijhiya team from Janakpur, local Dhimey groups from Itum Bahal, and Siyom – an experimental folk-based ensemble from Manipur, India, and Abaim – a musical troupe from Mauritius. The festival will feature acts by artists from six different countries.
